The towering altar....

The random things that a Sunday morning can bring....

So this morning, Maia and I are playing with brick boxes, and she decides that we must build a tower (her favorite). I decide that we should take it to the next level ny using the tub we store them in as a base. So we build, I set the base, and Maia helps with the blocks on the bottom. As we get it taller, I lift her up to place the blocks. Once we've used all the blocks, I exclaim, "Wow, what a nice tower!"

Maia, however, has already made other plans for our tower. She grabs one of her "baby dolls" and tells me, "On top."

"On top of the tower?"

"Yeah."

So I lift her up and she places her baby doll on the top. Immediately upon setting her down, she begins to run around the tower in circles, screaming and laughing with excitement.

It seems we ended up transforming our harmless tower into an ancient pagan sacrificial altar.

Take that how you will....

*No baby dolls were actually sacrificed during this play time.
