A quick, routine update post...

Just an experiment, with what I would call micro-blogging, that perhaps I will expound upon in a lengthier, future post...

It's late Sunday night, and it was an eventful day. Went to church in the morning. I continue to struggle with everything that surrounds church and religion right now, but the time did provide an opportunity for reflective thinking, which I think was productive. In the afternoon, watched the MSU game, which they unfortunately list, but was still fun to watch. Then, as it was over 50 and sunny out, we took Maia and Ellie on the first walk of the year. The route is along one of the busier streets in town, but with a separated sidewalk, so it's pretty nice. The route is about 1.5 miles, and it was so nice to get and enjoy the ambience of our little town again after such a long winter. I'm very much looking forward to being able to get and take these walks more often.

Following that and Maia's bedtime, watched the 4th episode of the show "Cosmos," which I am thoroughly enjoying. So far, I think the show is doing well at creating that sense of humility, wonder, and awe in our universe and world that I so thoroughly enjoy.

Tomorrow, Monday, I stay home with Maia for the day. Always look forward to these days with her, and feel they have been so important in forging our relationship, and helping me grow, not only as a father, but as a husband and a person. I will confess that it makes my weeks challenging, cramming 5 days of work into 4, and makes me value unobligated weekends so much more. But I know I won't regret these days.

Another busy day week ahead...
