Been crazy lately. At work I have had a couple projects pile up on each other so its been busy. Its funny to note the waves work goes in at times...I'll have weeks where its so laid back and at a very slow pace, and then there are other weeks, like this past week and a half or so, where its all I can do to stay on top of things. Ultimately, in our community, I can't complain, and should remember how fortunate and blessed I am to be so busy at times.

This week I took a little time off from work to accomplish some things around the house. Wednesday, Jackie and I ran some errands into Goshen, and then went up to Dogwood Tree Farm just north of town. The staff there was incredibly helpful, and Jackie and I eventually selected a small flowering dogwood (white) tree to plant on the east side of the house (pictures at Jackie's blog). They actually delivered the tree later in the day, just before 6, so in the afternoon, we cleaned out the garage. Took everything out, swept and sprayed off the floor, reorganized all the tools with new channel tracks, even got the bikes hung up. Really consolidated things in the garage and made much better use of the space. We also cleaned out the cars. Very productive. And, once the tree came, we planted that. Still surprised that we got all that done.

On Thursday, I had to go to work in the morning for some court hearings. I had planned to come back home early after the hearings, but had some "emergency" issues come up that held me at the office until just past 12. Once home, Jackie and I had lunch, packed the Sportage full of garage sell stuff, and headed down to Fort Wayne. We helped there set up the garage sale with Jackie's parents, had a wonderful home cooked meal with the in-laws, and just chilled for most of the evening.

Today was another busy day. Most of the day was spent at the garage sale, where we finally sold some things we needed to dispense with, and made some money that might help with some future house projects. Then we drove back this afternoon and went into the office, for Jackie to clean and for me to sort through mail and messages from being gone for a couple days. After that, we unwound with dinner at Chilis, and are now just relaxing in our "cave" and having a quiet Friday evening. Taking a deep breath.

Tomorrow should be another filled day. Planning at some point to run by Kohls and Lowes to do some checking on prices and options for possibly doing some repainting in our bedroom, along with new bedding and maybe some new hardware to update the furniture. Also will be headed to Richard and Sara's in the afternoon to hang out, catch up with Nick, and what not.

Keeping busy...

The Assembly Line of Attention

Well, hello there (in my best Obi-Wan Kenobi impersonation). It's been over two years since I last posted anything here, and even then I...
