After last week, which felt like on of my worst weeks in terms of motivation and results since I started my weight loss journey two months ago, this week may have been my best. That fact alone gives me more hope and confidence as I continue to move forward that I will keep the commitment and determination to this new lifestyle. Anyway, I walked (with some jogging sprinkled in) on the treadmill 6 days this week, each for 45 minutes, and each for a minimum of 2 miles. On Saturday, I finally hit the 2.25 mile mark that I had been trying to reach in my time allotment for awhile. I'm not sure if I will continue to hit that mark or not going forward, but it was nice to hit it yesterday.
It was also nice to hit at least 2 miles every day, pretty routine actually, in light of how difficult it was at first to get to that point and how much my knees and ankles hurt afterwards. Generally, that is where I have seen most of the progress thus far. I can walk a little bit faster without having the same hurt in my lower leg muscles, I feel much easier getting to that 45 minute mark once I start, and I can now jog just a bit, where I couldn't before. My stamina has improved, and I find that I tend to have more energy during the day. As we don't have a scale, I have no idea if and how much weight I might have lost, and I have really noticed a change in clothing fit or appearance. But generally, while I wish that as a result, my ultimate goal was to change my lifestyle to become more healthy, to sustain me throughout the rest of my life, and I feel like I am on my way in that regard. I just have to continue to press forward and hope that eventually those other results will eventually follow.
