What's In a Name?

Even though I haven't blogged a lot this year, I still think often about it.  One recurring thought to me this year is what the name of the blog should be.  When I started writing, I knew that I didn't want a themed blog; I just wanted something personal with no restrictions, some outlet for me to write in a fashion that was different than my work.  To enjoy writing for writing's sake, not writing letters of advice and opinion, drafting pleadings and briefs and arguments and arguments; but to write for what interests me - which, as the sub-heading suggests, is usually life, books, and spiritual matters.

The advantage of a themed blog, I think, is that it gives you direction for a name; it provides some guidance.  With the type of blog I have attempted to maintain, being more personal, I found it difficult to come up with a name.  I eventually just punted on the issue and titled it drs, as my initials and the shorter version of the blog address (and twitter handle).  I never said I was a creative individual.

So, tonight, as I write this for NaBloPoMo, and contemplate the month ahead and the much more writing that I wish to do, I am thinking about name changes for the blog, and hoping something will strike me (always  open for suggestions).
